With the rise of athleisure, tech fabrics and sportswear have embraced glamour, and menswear is no exception. At Milan Fashion Week Men’s on June 16, Dorian Stefano Tarantini’s label M1992 sent some 75,000 crystals down the runway.
The four crystal-blitzed looks from his Spring/Summer 2019 collection consisted of two tees and two hoodies, each color-blocked in black, white and red. The t-shirts featured gleaming vertical stripes made of Swarovski Crystal Mesh; the hoodies had large panels with sparkly flashes. On the reverse of one hoodie, crystals picked out the word “Lacrimosa” (Latin for “weeping,” and a Catholic reference to Mary, the mother of Jesus). While crystallized chains in shades of silver, gold and blue were worn, with a little swagger, as belts and necklaces.
This is the second time Swarovski has collaborated with the Italian brand, and its looks for men just keep getting more and more exciting.
