Fashion should never be ordinary, so to enjoy something of the extraordinary every day, what better inspiration than the vibrant and artistic city of Berlin? We asked Berlin-based creative director Cathy Boom, Christian Stemmler, stylist and fashion-editor-at-large at L’Officiel Hommes Germany, and photographer Sabrina Theissen, who has worked with Vogue and Hugo Boss, to create a series of head-turning, simple-to-put-together everyday looks. Transform your day the stylish way.
Monochrome dressing gets a makeover when highlighted with crystal. A simple gray wool turtleneck by Tim Labenda is elevated with the addition of subtly sparkling Malaikaraiss necklace. Atelier Na’s taupe jacket with a scarf by William Sharp provide a perfect backdrop for On Aura Tout Vu’s look-at-me drop earrings and a crystal-studded top by Dawid Tomaszewski. A black top and trousers by Michael Sontag and Vladimir Karaleev wrapped with a black Stine Goya coat might be a little too understated if it weren’t for a striking statement necklace by Rebecca and a cocktail ring from OSYLIA seen at Wolf & Badger. The same rule applies to a 1-2-3 jumpsuit and Gina ankle boot combo worn with stockings by & Other Stories. A Jean Paul Gaultier lounge suit and vintage roll-neck reaches new heights of sophistication when pinstriped with crystal. Likewise, black-on-black vintage Jil Sander trousers with a Tim Labenda roll-neck is glammed-up with an Adelina Rusu vest that floats thousands of crystals.
An intense blast of color will also give your look impact. A San Andrès bejeweled sky-blue peplum dress slipped over a vintage black turtleneck has casual bohemian brilliance. Complete with matching On Aura Tout Vu drop earrings. Finally, our cover look employs black—jacket by Henrik Vibskov and vintage trousers by Vladimir Karaleev—as the dramatic backdrop for ravishing red. We love these exquisitely embroidered, over-the-top, heeled boots from Casadei, balanced by a gleaming bib-necklace by Philippe Ferrandis.
