Swarovski Sets the Stage Alight with the Dream Angels Fantasy Bra designed by Atelier Swarovski, “Shooting Star” Swarovski Look and Close to a Million Crystals

As the Angels blazed down the runway, it soon became clear that this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show had gone next-level stellar. Maybe it was the sizzling Dream Angels Fantasy Bra created by Atelier Swarovski, or was it the “shooting star” Swarovski Look? For sure it was an eye-blitzing 850,000 crystals bathing the crowd in a heavenly haze. *Swoon*

Counting more crystals than ever before, in the sixteenth year of its partnership with Swarovski, the 2018 show was always going to make headlines. But there was something really special about this year’s spectacular: firstly, it was welcomed back to its hometown of NYC after a three-year tour. Secondly, the much-anticipated Fantasy Bra—worn by the lucky Elsa Hosk—was adorned with responsibly sourced Topaz and over 2,100 Swarovski Created Diamonds. What’s more, you can get the Fantasy Bra look, too! Swarovski has designed a crystal-bedazzled replica (and matching panty) to buy in select stores and online beginning November 29. It’s bralette style is “very cool, very simple, modern, and so sparkly” said Elsa. “If I had designed it myself, it would have looked just like this.”

Returning to the rest of this year’s extra-special show, behind the pink curtain the excitement began mounting early: silky beach-waves, glistening curls, glossed lips, luminescent skin, plus those fab sparkly black satin robes concealing so many sensational outfits, had the Angels in full-on selfie mode. Getting ready for the big night with your girlfriends is part of the fun, right? By the time they had launched onto the runway, the whole of Pier 94 was buzzing.

Entertainment came courtesy of a galaxy of musical stars: Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Leela James, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes, and The Struts. The show’s seven sections—Glam Royale, Golden Angel, Flights of Fancy, Team Pink, Floral Fantasy, Downtown Angel, Celestial Angel—included several notable moments: sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid back walking together, along with best friend Kendall Jenner, resplendent in a bejeweled high-neck shrug framed by a black starred and feathered wing. In fact, it was a stargazer’s dream, as Angel after Angel appeared in outfits adorned with myriad crystal stars and moons: Behati Prinsloo back after three years off, Candice Swanepoel, Jasmine Tookes, Lais Ribero, Martha hunt, and counting. The unmissable highlight was iconic Brazilian Angel Adriana Lima, sporting a crystallized moon wing for her last-ever Victoria’s Secret show. It added a special poignancy to the event for all present. Farewell Adriana. After 18 memorable Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows, you’ve gone out in a blaze of crystals!

When the starlight wasn’t shining, there was a riot of color cascading and swirling from crystal-embellished outfits designed by couturier Mary Katrantzou. Along with enough twinkled-up tartan to furnish a highland castle. And there were plenty of angelic feathery looks, naturally. Plus, pastel pom-pom wings that were lots of fun. Glittering jewelry came courtesy of Atelier Swarovski by Christopher Kane and Atelier Swarovski by Mary Katrantzou.

Finally, our biggest round of applause has to go to Romee Stridj, who closed the “Celestial Angel” section of the show wearing the Swarovski Look. She’d been transformed into a dazzling shooting star with a bedazzled sheer bodysuit and crystal-encrusted silver 3D star mono-wing. Quite simply, out of this world!
