New York Fashion Week is here! Designers show their fall/winter collections on runways platforms and every corner in the city that never sleeps breathes fashion and trends.
Swarovski shines on the catwalk through the partnerships with the designers, showing how crystals optimize cut and fabric texture in the hands of masters.
Swarovski continues its longstanding reputation as a key enabler of creativity and supporter of emerging talent in fashion through its collaborations and its Collective program, an initiative that gives fashion designers the opportunity to experiment with the extraordinary range of Swarovski crystals.
The design star Jason Wu presented his stunning AW17 creations on February 10, an ultra feminine collection featured Swarovski crystal graphic prints applied to lace silhouettes. And -in a very special preview- many of the looks are completed with jewelry from his forthcoming Atelier Swarovski by Jason Wu Mosaic collection. In total, he used nearly 68,000 crystals on this runway, and the effect is exquisite: glam, but never glitzy.
Creatures of the Wind
Inspired by 1950s couture and injected with their signature psychedelic twist, Creature of the Wind`s AW17 collection integrates over 267,000 Swarovski crystal motifs in graphic, modern ways.
Inspired by the female art collective “Guerrilla Girls” Tomes`s runway show got playful with Swarovski crystal banana motifs and crystallized earrings. Tome used over 49,000 Swarovski crystals as part of the Swarovski Collective program.
