I had the immense pleasure of attending the 2017 Fashion Awards in partnership with Swarovski as a guest of Jimmy Choo. The night was unlike any other I have attended in fashion… you may say it is the Oscars of fashion awards.
Spirits soared, skin was in, and crystals, like always in the world of Swarovski, sparkled brilliantly on the Fashion Awards 2017 red carpet, kicking off the 28th installment of the annual ceremony in style. Pop culture stars and eminent members of the industry alike gathered at the Royal Albert Hall in London as Swarovski continued its support and celebration of the global fashion community, marking 4 years as an official partner sponsor of the occasion.
International actress, author and supermodel Miss Piggy supported Swarovski, presenting live from the riveting red carpet with co-presenter Derek Blasberg. The fashion icon brought her signature je ne sais quoi to the evening, rubbing shoulders and making witty banter with fashion’s glitterati while wearing a custom-made Saint Laurent dress by Anthony Vaccarello embroidered with 10,000 Swarovski crystals.
Cameras flashed across a sea of celebrities, capturing exclusive moments between everyone from editors, models and writers to renowned designers and award-winning performers. Dressed to the nines to support their equally talented peers, the evening’s list of prestigious invitees featured Adwoa Aboah, Dame Anna Wintour, Annie Lennox, Ashley Graham, Bianca Jagger, Connor McGregor, Erykah Badu, FKA Twigs, Hailey Baldwin, Irina Shayk, Karlie Kloss, Lewis Hamilton, Naomi Campbell, Pamela Anderson, P!nk, Poppy Delevingne, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Selena Gomez, Stella Maxwell, Stormzy, Winnie Harlow and Zendaya.
In the car on my way!

Before making their way inside the iconic London landmark, the distinguished guests were treated to a dazzling installation by Atelier Swarovski designers Fredrickson Stallard entitled ‘Prologue’ featuring 8,000 gold- and topaz-colored Swarovski crystals.
The ceremony brought to light leaders within the international fashion business, honoring fresh new faces and industry veterans with crystal trophies designed by renowned architectural designer John Pawson. This year, they included Donatella Versace who won the Fashion Icon Award and Model of the Year Adwoa Aboah, while Christopher Bailey MBE received a surprise award from a tearful Anna Wintour for Outstanding Contribution to British Fashion, acknowledging his transformation of Burberry since joining in 2000, turning the UK company into a renowned global fashion brand.
