Two new figures celebrate Andy Warhol and Jean–Michel Basquiat over 1,000 crystals each
The screenprinted banana, first created in 1966, is one of Andy Warhol’s most recognized icons, and on this Crystal Banana Masterpiece Dunny by IamRetro, the fruit has been recreated in 1,670 hand-applied Swarovski crystals in Crystal Sunflower, Jet Hematite, Rose Peach, and Padparadscha. Like an original Warhol, the Dunny is a coveted item, with just 10 available worldwide.
IamRetro also pays tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat, another 20th century art world icon known for elevating street art to new levels. The Brooklyn artist is often represented by a crown icon, which symbolizes the interplay between the material world and the intellect. This limited-edition, 8-inch Basquiat Masterpiece Dunny features the motif, encrusted in 1,405 hand-applied Swarovski crystals in Crystal Clear and Jet Hematite all over the chrome.
