I recently went to the Maldives (yes I’m still pinching myself!) for the white sandy beaches, crystal blue water, snorkelling at sunrise and eating the freshest fruit of my life. It was the most serene place I have ever been to and certainly one of the most beautiful.
We stayed at Constance Halaveli Resort which is perfect and very secluded. In keeping with its uber luxury feel, you can only access it via seaplane. I had literally never been on a sea plane before, so it was incredible to say the least – although did not come without its own challenges – namely 10 days on holiday with a luggage allowance of only 35 pounds!!!
I had so many dresses/ hats/ shoes/ sunglasses that I wanted to take, although I really had to edit it down if they were going to let me on that plane. This left me thinking – what do we actually need when we go on holidays? There is nothing less chic than arriving with 3 suitcases filled with stuff you wont wear and certainly don’t need. So here I have put together a few of my favorite pieces I took with me on the trip that got me through, lazy days on the beach, fancy dinners, swimming and then from beach to bar – my ultimate Holiday capsule closet.
