Emilia Wickstead | London Fashion Week

British-based and New Zealand born designer, Emilia Wickstead used 6,000 Swarovski beads and Swarovski Crystal Pearls illuminated opulent dresses in a romance re-imagined for the working girl.

Emilia worked at fashion houses Giorgio Armani, Proenza Schouler, Narciso Rodriguez and Vogue in New York and Milan before returning to London to establish her own label in 2008 by opening her first store in Belgravia.

For FW18 Emilia Wickstead commented: “I really wanted this collection to transport you with a love story that is both nostalgic and energizing, and I did that through the designs but also through the embellishment with Swarovski crystal beads on collars and cuffs, which add a twist and excitement. And I always use Swarovski Crystal Pearls in my collection, as they bring romance.”

It was such an honour to attend the show and watch all the beautiful gowns glide by on the intimate front row.  They had just the perfect amount of sparkle.  A match made in heaven really!
