Meet The Young Talents From Vogue Salon X Swarovski

This year, Vogue Salon x Swarovski gave four emerging German designers the opportunity to show collections embellished with Swarovski crystals to key industry names. In tribute to the designers’ work and the collaboration between Vogue Germany and Swarovski, we bring you the “Young Talent” photoshoot fresh from Berlin. It captures their latest collections in stunning images that use flashes of color and reflective surfaces to vamp up sophisticated black.

Austere tailoring and innovative materials are the secret to William Fan’s brand of serene luxury. A cascade of crystals hangs from his black tunic shirt and matching trousers (both from his FW17 collection), teamed with a sensational Perspex collar from Delphine-Charlotte Parmentier. We’ll be seeing Fan’s name a lot in the future.

Michael Sontag is seen on the pages of the world’s top magazines for good reason—his work is outstanding. This outfit plays with textures, illusions and geometries, contrasting a monochrome strapless sheath dress with a shimmering chainmail-like collar and mismatched statement earrings. Wolford’s scarlet tights give it a kick.

Berlin-based, Iranian-born Nobieh Talaei brings architectural form to her SS18 Nobi Talai collection. Check out the silhouette of the wide-leg, cropped trousers fanning out from under a tight-waisted top and fluttering bejeweled cape. Now that’s drama.

Rianna+Nina—German Nina Kuhn and Greek Rianna Kounou—bring a very modern touch to vibrant retro-folk prints. Decorative, clashing pieces reminiscent of European peasant embroideries are layered over the Japonic simplicity of a black Ganni jumpsuit, white Falke tights, and black mules by William Fan.

Lou De Bétoly’s Odely Teboul label mixes wild-at-heart creativity with couture sensibility. The blouse is an extravagant shock of electric blue; Acne’s wide-leg black pants bring subtle elegance; and Delphine-Charlotte Parmentier’s Perspex fabulous collar rounds off the look.
