Unicolor was strong: Semburg (sandrasemburg.com) caught trend superstar Linda Tol diving into the blue via cerulean collarless shirt and loose jeans sharpened with a navy blazer. While creative consultant Giorgia Tordini looked cool in every shade of cream, from crème fraîche to buttermilk. Note the clever crystal highlights—they keep her from paling into insignificance. And she made the perfect foil to fellow sidewalk star and Attico label founder Gilda Ambrosio. Who styled it bright in another major trend: maxi-coat over pants ‘n’ heels. See creative director of Hey Woman! Veronika Heilbrunner, who opted to send a bold message in faux fur with pink pants. An anonymous fashion lover was more muted, but just as fab, in red leather worn with checked navy.
Viktoria Rader of VikyAndTheKid.com fame, and now head of her own leather label VIRA, was among those letting Fashion Week go to her head. Her floral baseball cap echoed many of FW17’s more opulent statements. But it’s hats off to Yoyo Cao (AKA: Yoyo Kulala), Singapore’s rising star of the international streetstyle circuit: Like Ambrosio and Rader, she’s been quick to catch on to the outsize shirt. But that scarlet tartan cowl! While a little Red Riding Hood, perhaps, it really is the best fun.
