The latest lingerie-inspired looks
Photographer Melanie Galea (thestreetmuse.it) turned the inside out this month, exposing the latest lingerie-inspired trend. At the Trocadero in Paris, Alexandra Rakhimova drew gasps in Dior, the full tulle skirt a witty take on its famous New Look, and her Yves Saint Laurent handbag striking a perfectly serious note against the frivolity. In London, Sarah Mikaela took a less structured approach to sheer black, going dotty for a Benetton tunic. In Milan, Lise Grendene brightened her softly draped, black Dolce & Gabbana dress with dramatic crimson blooms and a slash of matching lipstick.

Paris is always a treasure trove of great street styles: Chiara Ferragni, snapped in the Tuileries Garden, followed the floral trend in a nude-look Maison Valentino mini-dress. Helena Bordon was spotted in Balmain, its high-impact color blocking keeping her delicate lace bang up to date. Outside the Grand Palais, Nataya Kim almost floated down the street in a sheer, baby blue, ruffled midi-dress accessorized with a Chloé bag and sunglasses.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, a mystery fashionista was seen outside New York’s Lincoln Center: whoever she is, we could all take tips from her on how to wear lingerie with notice-me attitude…
